Prof. Krislert Samphantharak

Krislert Samphantharak is Professor of Economics and Public Policy in the School of Global Policy and Strategy at the University of California San Diego. He received his PhD in Economics from the University of Chicago. His research focuses on finance, public policy, and economic development. He coauthored a monograph “Households as Corporate Firms” (Cambridge University Press) and has published articles in leading academic journals in economics, finance, and political science. He is also advisor to the Bank of Thailand and the Stock Exchange of Thailand.
