Artem Stopnevich is the CEO of The Vault, an institutional digital asset infrastructure platform providing regulated custody, treasury management, digital wallets, and back-office infrastructure for financial institutions.
At The Vault, Artem leads the company’s B2B strategy and product direction, working at the intersection of institutional finance, technology, and digital assets.
Before entering the digital asset industry, Artem built his career across energy, finance, and data. He began as a researcher at the Energy Economics Institute at the University of Cologne before joining Rystad Energy, where he advised on major IPO and M&A transactions across MENA, Europe, and North America, working with institutions including BlackRock, Jefferies, and Brookfield Infrastructure. He later led Rystad’s Caspian and Central Asia practice, advising national oil companies, government bodies, and financial institutions.
Artem regularly speaks at international industry events on institutional digital asset custody, crypto regulation, and the infrastructure required for financial institutions to operate securely in regulated digital asset markets.
He holds a BSc in Theoretical Physics from King’s College London and an MSc in Metals & Energy Finance from Imperial College London.
