Dr Nicola Harding is a criminologist specialising in financial crime, fraud prevention, and the psychology of online harm. Her work bridges academic research and frontline practice, translating criminological insight into practical tools that help institutions and communities detect, prevent, and respond to fraud.
She is the founder of the Financial Crime Lab, a community interest company (non-profit) delivering fraud prevention education, and co-founder and Chief Safety Officer of Tuteliq, a behavioural risk detection company building technology to identify online harm before it escalates. She also advises the UK Home Office in a specialist capacity on matters of fraud and economic crime.
Drawing on both research and industry experience, she is a frequent speaker on how criminal networks exploit trust, technology, and human psychology, and on what it takes to build effective defences against them.
