Budi is Managing Director of Fintech at DSST Communication and Technologies, a unit of DSSA, one of Indonesia's largest publicly listed companies. In this role he oversees the group's fintech subsidiaries, including its ongoing strategic partnership with a global fintech conglomerate. Prior to this, he spent close to 15 years at GoTo Group, where he served on the executive leadership team of GoTo Financial with primary responsibility for operations, risk and compliance, and public policy.
Alongside his corporate work, Budi has been a long-standing contributor to Indonesia's fintech industry organizations. A mainstay of the Indonesian Fintech Association since 2016, he has served as both its Secretary General and Vice Chairman.
Budi holds a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from Fontys Hogescholen in the Netherlands and a Master's in Public Administration from the London School of Economics and Political Science. He has been a guest lecturer on the FinTech and Regulatory Innovation course at the University of Cambridge Judge Business School, and is currently a Research Affiliate at MIT's Laboratory for Economic Analysis and Design.
