Roman Tretyakov

Roman Tretyakov, Deputy Chairman of the Management Board for IT & Digital Transformation at JSC Octobank, is an international technology executive with more than 20 years of experience in banking technology, digital financial infrastructure and payment systems.
He currently leads Octobank's technology strategy, Digital First transformation, AI adoption, data platform development and Open Banking initiatives. He also serves as Strategic Technology Advisor to the CEO of Asterium, advising on technology strategy, digital asset architecture, cybersecurity and scalable financial infrastructure.
Previously, he held executive technology leadership positions at VK, the Central Bank of the Russian Federation and Sberbank, where he led large-scale transformation programmes, including the Digital Ruble Platform, modernization of payment infrastructure, enterprise technology platforms and next-generation banking systems.
His areas of expertise include digital banking transformation, AI, Open Banking, payment infrastructure, enterprise architecture, cloud-native platforms and technology strategy. His achievements include Best Digital Bank 2026 (Global Banking & Finance Review, JSC Octobank), VK People Awards 2024, the Bank of Russia's Persistent Pursuit of Excellence Award, and recognition by The Tech Media Central Eurasia among Central Asia's leading technology executives driving innovation in fintech, artificial intelligence and digital banking.
