Maja Pavlović-Bjeletić
Head of the Unit for Regulation & Development of the Payment System, National Bank of Serbia
Maja Pavlović-Bjeletić has 20 years of professional experience in the banking sector. Since 2021, she has been working in the Payment System Department at the National Bank of Serbia.
Throughout her career, she has gained extensive expertise in payment services, regulatory compliance, data protection and the prevention of money laundering and terrorist financing.
Her work focuses on improving the regulatory framework for payment services, aligning Serbia's legislation with the EU acquis and supporting the development of modern payment services and payment systems.
She actively contributed to Serbia's Application for accession to the Single Euro Payments Area (SEPA) and is currently involved in activities related to meeting the requirements of Chapters 4 (Free Movement of Capital) and 9 (Financial Services) of the EU accession negotiations.
