Gaurav Mathur

Gaurav Mathur is the Founder and CEO of SafeGold. With more than $1+ bn in revenue, 75 million customers, SafeGold is Asia’s largest digital gold platform. SafeGold was ranked the 9th fastest growing company in Asia in 2024 by the Financial Times. It operates in multiple countries, including the UAE, Singapore, Thailand and India and has integrations with more than 100 banks, brokerage and tech firms across the region. Prior to starting SafeGold, Gaurav spent 15 years in the private equity industry as a co-founder of India Equity Partners where he helped raise and invest $650mn and as a Principal with JPMorgan in Singapore where he helped manage a $1bn portfolio. Gaurav started his career with the Leveraged Finance group at Deutsche Bank in London. He has an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad and a BA in Economics from Delhi University.
