Ahmad Al-Kiswani is the Regional Financial Services Leader in PwC Middle East - Kuwait and Qatar. He has more than 17 years of accounting and consulting experience. Prior to being a partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers, he worked as an Executive Director of International Compliance and Governance at NBK Group and as Head of Risk Management and Compliance at the Kuwait Stock Exchange. He also has more than 10 years of experience working for Ernst & Young, specifically in the field of risk management and governance consulting in financial services industry.
He developed and executed several projects in capital markets covering market maker products and liquidity providers. He also developed the market maker operating model for one of the largest assets management companies in Kuwait covering the product design, risk thresholds and technology requirements. Ahmad is a member of the market transformation committee in Kuwait covering the new regulatory requirements for market makers and setting the related rule book.
He presented several specialized working papers and workshops to the boards of directors of many Islamic banks, specifically in the field of Shari'a Supervisory Governance, Risk Management, Remuneration Governance as well as the bases and criteria for evaluating the performance of the Board of Directors.
Ahmad is a member of many scientific and professional institutions. He has specialized literature and papers in the fields of risk management and regulatory compliance.
